Parms started slowly against the wind and uphill. County pumped long balls up to their striker and fed off the scraps well, while we struggled to keep hold of the ball and play out. The home side scored first after a flick on from a corner found it's way to an opposition player at the far post. Their second soon follow from another set piece, this time a long free kick caught the wind and fell between the defence and keeper for the attacker to finish. These goals seemed to spark us into life and Parms began to play nice football and finished the half on the front foot. Only a dodgy offside decision from their lino ruled out Sam's finish after nice play from Matt down the left.

Unfortunately, it was the hosts who got the first goal of the second half against the run of play, some neat play down the right set their attacker through to finish. At this point, the players could have let their heads drop but that wasn't the case. The team kept battling and were beginning to wear down the opposition. The next goal was for Parms, after some fancy footwork from Sam created an opening, he slid the ball through for Nicho to finish past their keeper. The wind was well and truly in Parms sails, and it was wave after wave of attack. A penalty was given after a County player instigated a wrestling match in the area, that he had called the refs attention to himself. Nicho dispatched the pen despite calls from an inexplicably loud non-playing member of the County team that "he didn't want it", he most certainly did. At this point, it appeared that Parms were going to complete a deserved second half comeback but the momentum was stopped after their striker latched onto a wayward backpass for a County 4th, with effectively killed the game.

Despite the best efforts of the team, the game ended 4-2. Not the result we wanted but a performance the whole team can be proud of nontheless, everyone left it on the pitch. Man of the match goes to Nicho for bagging two goals, being a constant threat, and not giving their defence chance to breathe with his work rate.
