For our third and hopefully final double-header of the season we were up against Old Minchendenians. We had the same ref as always, and for what seems like the 1,000th time, he reiterated the amateur ref mantra to the captains of how he loves to play advantage and let the game flow, and we were off.

With some players missing, it took Parms a while to settle into the game and neither side could string a sequence of passes together. By the final whistle Parms were still trying to settle into the game, there was honestly nothing to note going forward for either team. Fortunately, the defence has decided to turn up all 4 of the back line had a stormer, getting to everything first and limiting the opponents chances. Needless to say, the game ended 0-0, credit has to go to Sam, Daryle, Kaliff, Martin and Mazi for a dominant display.

The second game began in the same way as the first, with the ref's advantage speech. Fortunately, this is where the comparisons end. Parms were playing with much more confidence than the first game, keeping the ball on the floor and moving it nicely between the lines. Old Minch were tiring. The breakthrough came early when a counter attack fell to Joe in the box, who finished for the first goal of the day. This seemed to open the floodgates and moments later a nice ball from Dicey found Joe again to make it 2-0. Shortly after, Joe returned the favour for Dicey to finish through the keepers legs.

In the second half, Rob capped a couple of solid performances with a nice dribble and finish from the edge of the area to make it 4-0. There was still time for a consolation goal and for Dom to get sent to the shadow realm by their right back, but Parms saw out a deserved 4-1 victory. A great effort from the boys who left it all on the pitch, and the extra desire and hard work across the pitch really showed through in the second game.
