Today the team found that even the lower sides in the division can be hard to beat. Beals with their veteran 1st team keeper in goal were difficult to score against despite dominating possession for most of the game. We fell behind twice with Beals scoring twice from Free kicks, the last one being just a couple of minutes from the end. It looked like a first defeat before Shay stepped up with a shot that took a deflection to equalise just a minute from the end of the game to secure the draw.
It was no more than we deserved with Jack Cox pulling the strings in midfield and superb goals from Ollie Biggs and new boy Floyd Thompson we were in control but could not put the game to bed due in the main to superb saves from the Beals keeper.
We now take on rivals Kingsburians on Wednesday needing just a point to complete a league title. Good luck lads
