Welcome back to another season full of hope and expectation. We did have a good season last year with 4 league titles, a promotion for the 1st team to the premier division and 2 cup finalists. However whilst our discipline improved we just fell short of what the league expected of us and so we are again under the threat of expulsion should we not go below 80 penalty points. This is a total we all are expected to work towards reducing substantially. We have expelled a number of players and we will be doing the same if we experience any problems this year.

So its a well done to those who avoided any cautions and sending offs. To those of you that didnt and are still with us, you are on notice that you may be suspended for a long time if you cant control yourself. To this end we have a discipline policy which is enclosed with this sheet. Read it as it affects all of you. We will withdraw teams from cups and leagues if necessary if discipline problems cannot be controlled. It worked for most of least season and it will have to work this time around. I would prefer to write about football rather than discipline but in recent years it has been the latter that has taken most of my time. If you see trouble from any of your playing colleagues, stop them and if necessary make sure the captain is aware. He has the power to withdraw players from the match on such grounds

Reminders to all:

•  you must pay full subs for all friendlies. There are no special reductions for these games as we have to pay the same price for pitches and referees as we do for league games.
• Please send back your registration forms to me now. We have to register all players who pay for the club with the various leagues.
• A new club rule means that anyone who owes fines must pay within 2 weeks otherwise you will not be allowed to play. John Long will be monitoring games to ensure that you do not play.

To All Managers and Assistants:

There is a meeting that all of you must attend on Tuesday 5 September starting at 8.00pm at Douglas Eyre. We will discuss all the issues relating to your team and how it is managed and administered.
