History of OPFC
Douglas Eyre Map

The club was founded over 110 years ago to provide football for boys leaving Parmiters School in Bethnal Green, London. Since the School moved to Garston in Hertfordshire in 1981 the club has adopted a policy of admitting new players through the references and introductions of existing members. In 2006 the Club gained FA Charter Status from the Football Association recognising the club was well organised and proactive in providing well organised football in a safe environment for young players.

The club currently runs 8 senior league sides for players over 16 and 2 veterans teams every Saturday afternoon based at the Douglas Eyre Sports Centre, Coppermill Lane Walthamstow London. We also train at Douglas Eyre on a full size floodlit astroturf pitch every Thursday throughout the season between 8.30 and 10.00p.m.

The club requires new players of a high standard in terms of ability, reliabilty and discipline. If you have also played at a high standard of football then we would like to hear from you now and give you an opportunity to play 1st team football in the Amateur Football Combination.

We have 2 sides in the Essex Veterans League where players must be 35 on 1st September and we would welcome any ex players who would like to play again.

If you want to join the club contact Francis Mariani on 07775 818138 or EMail at fpmariani@hotmail.com giving your name, address & telephone number.

The club is also looking for sponsors for both the website and for the team kit. If you want to help the club in this way contact Francis Mariani via the information above.

Anyone wishing to join any of the Old Parmiterians Societies or contact existing Society members should speak to Max Lea on 020-8954-0708.
